IHCC Scholarship Application

Below are scholarships offered through IHCC's Foundation Office. To review criteria and other details, click on the name of a scholarship and a dropdown will give more information. Spring 2021 scholarships will be open September 21, 2020 – October 30, 2020 (applications will close at noon on October 30, 2020). Scholarship decisions will be emailed by December 22nd.

Summer Semester - Applicants should indicate they are applying for ABLE scholarship on application; applicants must be registered for Course HSER 1125 Action Based Learning Experience; evidence of academic achievement, leadership and volunteerism; consideration for financial need and life circumstances.
Evidence of clear academic goals; special consideration for financial need, life circumstances; demonstrated academic achievement.
Preferred award to an employee of "Self Esteem Brands" (Anytime Fitness & Waxing the City). Consideration for academic achievement, financial need & life circumstances, career goals, recommendations and community service/leadership.
Student must be an AFA second semester student; both letters of recommendation must be from art instructors; demonstrated academic achievement.
Priority to returning adult student; scholastic achievement (gpa), financial need, life circumstances, recommendations and honors, career goals and campus and/or community service/leadership.
Successful scholastic achievement, financial need, clear career goals, recommendations/honors/community service, challenging life circumstances
Designated for students pursuing a degree in physical education or a teaching degree.

Evidence of exemplary leadership experience and qualities and leadership goals; evidence of clear career goals.
Students pursuing a career in science an enviromental studies who also volunteer their time to environmental issues. Must include description of volunteer environmental activities in narrative. Evidence of academic achievement, leadership, volunteerism; consideration for life circumstances and financial need.
Evidence of well-formulated academic and career goals; special consideration for financial need; Special consideration for extraordinary life challenges; cumulative GPA of 2.00 or higher
Phi Theta Kappa member in good standing; special consideration for financial need.
Awarded to a resident of Hastings who is returning to college for training for a career change; well-formulated academic and career goals; demonstrated academic achievement; special consideration for financial need and life circumstances.
Priority for students enrolled in a STEM program, with preference given to students in an engineering or transportation focus; consideration for academic achievement, financial need, life circumstances, career goals, recommendations and honors and campus and/or community service/leadership. (Snapshot funds are split between both colleges).
For students involved in environmental work or in the study of philosophy; evidence of academic achievement, leadership and volunteerism; consideration for financial need and life circumstances.
Awarded to a resident of Eagan with demonstrated academic achievement and well-formulated academic and career goals. Special consideration given for financial need.
Demonstrated interest in business with a marketing of sales emphasis and evidence of well-formulated academic and career goals; special consideration for financial need; cumulative grade-point average of 2.00 or higher.
Evidence of clear career goals; demonstrated campus or community service or leadership; special consideration for financial need; special consideration for challenging life circumstances.
Priority for student enrolled in EMS, consideration for academic achievement, financial need & life circumstances, career goals, recommendation and honors and campus and/or community service/leadership.
Priority for student in Law Enforcement or EMS: demonstrated academic achievement, leadership and volunteerism; consideration for financial need and life circumstances.
Preference given to first generation students and immigrants; evidence of clear career goals and academic achievement; consideration for financial need and life circumstances as well as honors/awards and campus community service
Must be a veteran, active duty or reserve; Must be a permanent resident of Dakota County. Life circumstances and career goals should be considered.
Available for full-time accounting student, clear career goals, maintain satisfactory gpa, provide evidence of financial need, show evidence of community service, leadership or previous work experience. Student is expected to maintain at least part-time job while attending college
Available for paralegal student. Special consideration for financial need, life challenges and academic achievement
Priority to student registered in Human Resource Certificate and planning to complete AA or AAS degree at Inver Hills. Demonstrated academic achievement; consideration for financial need and life circumstances, recommendations and community/campus service.
For veterans and their spouses or their children giving preference to veterans; evidence of clear career goals, academic achievement and financial need.
To recognize and assist student whose financial and life situations requires them to work while in school. Student must be working at least 15 hours per week, Minimum GPA 2.50, special considerations given to finanical need, life circumstances, underrepresented students, non-traditional students, and single parents.
Available for veterans or a family member of a veteran; evidence of academic achievement, financial need, special life circumstances, honors/awards, well-defined career goals, and campus/community service.
Evidence of well-formulated academic and career goals; special consideration for financial need; Special consideration for extraordinary life challenges; cumulative GPA of 2.00 or higher.
Special consideration for a student majoring in Fine Arts area, financial need, scholastic achievement (gpa), life circumstances, recommendations and honors, career goals and campus and/or community service/leadership.
Student must have been admitted into the nursing program; demonstrated academic achievement; consideration for financial need and life circumstances; special consideration for first generation college student; also special consideration for veterans, persons currently serving in the military or children of veterans.
At least two semesters of mathematics at IHCC; registered for at least 6 credits; must have taken at least one developmental Math class (numbered below 1000) and has demonstrated success in at least one college level math course; minimum of 12 IHCC credits completed; cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 or higher

Information Technology Student. Preference to students who attended Apple Valley High School's E3 Program, Como High School or Humboldt High School YCC programs. Demonstrated academic achievement, consideration for financial need and life circumstances, recommentdations and community/campus service.
Available for veterans or persons currently serving in the military; evidence of clear career goals; special consideration for financial need; special consideration for challenging life circumstances; cumulative GPA of 2.00 or higher.
